Kyagulanyi Promises Better Service Delivery, Urges Voters to Guard Ballots
National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has called on Ugandans to remain vigilant at polling stations to protect the integrity of the electoral process, while pledging improved service delivery under his leadership.

During a campaign rally in Busiro, Kyagulanyi urged voters to stay at polling stations after casting their ballots, in line with the law, so they could observe the process and monitor how results are handled.

He said such vigilance is critical to safeguarding the people’s will, noting that electoral outcomes are sometimes undermined through intimidation and interference.

“This is the only way we can protect our vote,” Kyagulanyi told supporters, emphasizing citizens’ right to witness the process through to the declaration of results.

He also criticized security forces for blocking some of his supporters from accessing the rally venue, describing the actions as unfair and a threat to the democratic rights of citizens.
